Meeting with students to explain how classes are organized, including the syllabus and assessment.

ASSESSMENT: One written online test (40%) and one (written or audiovisual) essay (50%) + 10% attendance and participation.

ESSAY: The essay has to be done in groups of 2 or 3, with no exceptions. It should consist in a three-page analysis of a theme, scene, or film concerning film noir. If you want to create an audiovisual piece, a single page describing your project has to be submitted with the file.

Each group is responsible for sending the teacher the necessary information about their project: title of the project (which should include the film you are going to analyze) and group participants, so as to avoid repetition. You will have access to a list of films that you can choose from via Google Drive, as well as other materials.

If students need to clarify any doubts regarding the final essay, they can schedule a zoom meeting with the teacher.

The test is scheduled for December 3 and the final essay has to be handed in until December 15.
