Introduction to neo-noir: definitos, tropes, examples of films. This introduction will continue next class and it will serve to discuss the "last" film of the classic noir period, Touch of Evil (Orson Welles, 1958). At the same time, it will allow students to better understand the films that it be discussed after Touch of Evil.
