Presentation of the Programme, Course Calendar and Assessment

Presentation of course content and calendar with particular emphasis on methodology, expected learning outcomes for this Curricular Unit and evaluation methods.

Presentation of the resources and materials in E-learning.

Grading and Assessment 

Assessment will be continuous. Students are expected to attend all classes and be on time, and to complete readings (and other assignments) prior to the class for which they have been scheduled. 

Assessment criteria and dates:  

          Attendance, and participation in class discussion that reflects critical thinking and an understanding of the assigned reading: 25%

  • 31 October: Midterm Test:  35% 
  • 5 December: Final Test: 40% OR
  • Research project to be presented in class: 40% (21November-14 December)

Tutorial/Office Hours: 

Tuesday, 15h-16h30 (Room C217-C), by prior arrangement

Students can review materials and ask questions related to course content and assignments.
