Research projects and conflict management in academic context

This session was divided into three parts. The first part focused on project grants. Some ideas were discussed regarding research projects, namely concerning their structure and jargon, institutions with funding schemes for research projects, and some pitfalls when writing a project grant application. The second part was about interpersonal conflict management in academic context. The group discussed ideas on how to deal with conflict when working in the academy based on their own experience and on an article included in the course-pack. In the third part, the group briefly discussed the overall structure of the Seminar and its usefulness. Students were asked to fill in an online seminar evaluation survey created by the instructor.
