Course description, aims and methodologies (including assessment and grading criteria of oral presentations and final essays). Course readings (required and supplementary) and work plan for the semester. Class policies. Assessment: attendance, oral participation and oral presentation (30%); written assignment (critical essay) due by 6 April (30%); written test on 6 May (35%).​

NOTE 1: For student-led discussions (oral presentations), discussion questions are to be submitted 24 hours in advance via e-mail. For the critical essay, students must draft a work plan and discuss it beforehand. ​

NOTE 2:  Students are expected to bring to class the course readings in hardcopy.  Texts are available for purchase in Reprografia Verde and in a shared folder on Dropbox.​
