Discussion of the programme and main objectives of the course:

Writing an academic paper- focusing on the various sections of an academic paper: introduction, literature review and in-text citations, body paragraphs, conclusion and abstract;
Listening to an academic lecture- note-taking and summary writing;
Presenting an academic paper in a university context.
Assessment
Test 1 10/04/25 - Listening to a lecture, followed by a summary- 25% 
Individual oral presentations based on students' academic article of choice- 6 - 13 May- 30%
Writing an academic paper (in class)- 45%
