HW:
After having read Orpheus and followed the "Deities Instructions for HW" in moodle, your HW writing exercise will consist on a short short story of 300-350 words based on the deity you've selected.
As I explained in class (please consult with your colleagues if in doubt), you need to bring your deity into our contemporary world: deflating the character of any superpowers he or she might have, and rewriting it as an ordinary human being who has, or somehow expresses, the particular traits and abilities the deity is known for.
For example, if I'd chosen to rewrite Orpheus (god of music and poetry), I might choose, for example, to portray him as a homeless but prideful busker, playing in the streets for money, maybe songs about a dead loved one, etc.
You must bring your story to next class AND upload it to the Deities dropbox slot in moodle. You'll vote on the top ones, to be read out to the class.
