TP2 started off the class with their first listening exercise. Anyone who missed the class is STRONGLY advised to do the listening exercise at home as we have a listening test coming up in a few weeks. Just click here and do it:
Students got into pairs or groups of threes and asked basic questions to each other including: age, course of study, place of origin, likes/dislikes, hobbies, etc.
They then did another Reading exercise: B1 Reading: Education. Students who missed class should carry out the exercise by accessing it here:
They then did another listening exercise, and, again, students who did not attend class really should carry out the exercise at home. Just click here and do it:
Students then did another speaking exercise where they got into groups of three and talked a bit about what they though is right and/or wrong with the primary and/or secondary school education in the country they are from. Mostly, they just talked about their personal experiences at school.
Optional Homework
B1.1 Writing: Your Education
Tell me what school was like for you when you were younger. You can choose to focus on either your primary or your secondary school. Alternatively, you can write about how your current university experience is going. The assignment should be 150-200 words long. Please write your name and class number (TP2) at the beginning of your assignment.
It is due on the 11th October 2019 and must be emailed to me.
