Students did half of the exercises on pp 51 and 52 in class (breakout rooms). Students were to complete these exercises at home and we will correct them in the next class.

Elicitation of rules for comparative and superlative adjectives.

We started working with adjectives using Jacob Frey's short film "The Present". We did the exercises as listed in the manual (p27).

Students then completed the table on p39 in the manual where they wrote definitions for the usage of the prepositions: across. at, between, by, for, in, into, of, on and with as they appear in Roald Dahl's short story "The Way Up to Heaven", as well as adding additional information from their own dictionaries. Together we complied 3 sample sentences for each preposition.
