ALTERNATIVE EXAM DETAILS

Format: WRITTEN EXAM (2 HOURS) and ORAL EXAM (20 minutes)

Schedule: Written exam: Monday 01 June 08h – 10h (our normal class time)

Oral exam:  by individual appointment 03 – 06 June

Requirements for both components: a computer with a working camera and microphone; internet connection; Zoom. For the written component, your computer must be able to read PDF documents and allow you to work on (edit) a Word document (which may be converted to a Google document if necessary). If you intend to work on an iPad – which does not allow the camera to be on while you are working on a document – then you will need to use the camera on your phone. Your camera and microphone will need to be on the whole way through both components of the exam.

The WRITTEN EXAM will cover the work done during the whole of the semester, including the prescribed novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon.

There is no presentation or topic to prepare for the ORAL EXAM, which will cover material from the whole semester and may require you to elaborate on – or explain – answers that you gave in the written exam.
