Analysis of articles from Tatler magazine and The Daily Telegraph in order to show how linguistic snobbery is encouraged if not increased by articles in newspapers which clearly distinguish between lower, middle and upper classes due to the vocabulary that one uses. Focus particularly on the use of one single word which is considered to be the main socio-linguistic measurement of one's class: toilet.
