Today we carried out character analyses of the different characters from the novel Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.

We looked at Alfred Jones, Mary Jones, Harriet Chetwode-Talbot, Peter Maxwell, and Sheik Muhammad ibn Zaidi bani Tihama.

The analyses the group came up with was really good, and a copy of the slide that we made will be emailed to everyone so that people can print it out and bring it with them to the open-book test at the end of term.

Next class: we will be having our second Oxford Union-style debate: 'There is still an American Dream' with Beatriz Barata and Sara Meta on the 'For' team, and Pedro Lopes and Tiago Amador on the 'Against' team.
