Students were introduced to the literary device irony and discussed its meaning.  We discussed the three different types of irony and provided examples in class.  The students then examined the poem Ozymandias in groups and illustrated the poem using the author's imagery. We then reflected on the poem and discussed the type of irony present in the work.
