Students learned about Shakespeare's creation of words, how and why this was done, and examined and defined these words through reading them in the context of his works.  Students were also instructed on Shakespeare's prefered poemic meter, iambic pentameter.  Students then examined new words added to the Oxford English Dictionary and discussed their meaning, the main goal being to show them that language is constantly evolving and it is the youth that evolves a language.
