Watching and discussing the following Guardian Brexit shorts:

'Your Ma's a hard Brexit' by Stacey Cregg; 'Shattered' by Maxine Peaks; and 'Permanent sunshine' by A.L Kennedy.

Discussing cultural references (The Troubles in Northern Ireland; the Interface project in Northern Ireland; the Glasgow patter;immigration law in the UK.

Vocabulary expansion.

Reading and discussing the guidelines for the formal debate to be held in class (debate structure, preparation, points of information, conducting the debate) (pages 88-90) .

Homework assignment: a) the Brexit shorts vocabulary; b) reading and researching the 4 short stories included in unit 3 - discussion shall start on 18 November.
