For the written test on May 12, you should revise the following:
- Grammar: Verb Tenses (Past, Present & future Simple; Past, Present & Future Continuous; Past, Present & Future Perfect; Past, Present & Future Perfect Continuous);
- Unit Two: The Environment, namely: TED TALK: "My Wish: Protect Our Oceans" by Sylvia Earle & Years of Living Dangerously "Collapse of the Oceans" (Season 2, Ep. 6); short story "The Horse Latitudes" by Nick Hunt;
- Unit Three: The Arts, namely: article "Street art: Crime, grime or sublime?"; You may also want to consider the discussion questions debated in class;
- The novel Exit West by Mohsin Hamid.
The test will be divided into three parts: one section about grammar; one section in which students will be asked to answer a question about unit two OR unit three; a final section with one question about the novel Exit West.
Students may bring:
- a (printed) copy of the novel;
- a printed copy of the short story "The Horse Latitudes" by Nick Hunt as well as of the article "Street art: Crime, grime or sublime?";
- an English-English dictionary;
- a blank sheet of paper.
Students must bring:
- a test sheet;
- a pen (make sure it writes)
