Today, TP3 began to prepare for their upcoming final written exam and oral presentations.  As everyone knows, the written test will consist of writing an academic paper on the short story of their choice from Joyce Carol Oates's Small Avalanches.  Students were grouped according to their story choice and the first step in preparing for the exam was to identify the themes in their stories.  Next class, we will finalize our thesis statements and look at how to organize our arguments, and how to use quotes and research to support them.
