Descriptive Writing - Part 1

Students were introduced to the basics of Descriptive Writing (those of you who missed the class, please read the appropriate sections in the course book).
We then went on to analyze descriptive texts:
- extract from Maxine Hong Kingston's The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood Among Ghosts (Knopf, 1976);
- extract from Joyce Carol Oates's Inside District School #7, Niagara County, New York.
Next class: we will begin the class by going to the
Campo Grande for an outdoor descriptive writing exercise, so please come to class on time as we will be leaving the classroom no later than 12:20.
When we return to the class, we will carry on with analyzing descriptive texts.
