Goodbye Descriptive Writing...Hello Persuasive Writing!

The remaining groups presented their analyses of their descriptive writing texts.

Students then went on to learn about the basics of persuasive writing - about what it's used for and when.  The 'how' consisted of the 20 persuasive writing techniques which we looked at in class.

Students then went on to listen to Winston Churchill's We Will Fight on the Beaches and got into groups to analyze the text and identify the techniques within it.
