Students got into a total of eight groups and each group chose a descriptive text for analysis, an analysis which will be presented to the whole class next lesson.

The texts consist of: two extracts from Virginia Woolf's diary; three extracts from the journals of Sylvia Plath; two poems by Anne Michaels.
