Descriptive Writing continued...

14 Março 2018, 10:00 Hilda Alexandra Prazeres Eusebio

Students learned about what makes good (and bad) descriptive writing:
  • vivid (as opposed to vague) language;
  • varying sentence structure;
  • avoidance of excessive use of adjectives, adverbs and clichéd figures of speech;
  • etc.
TP8 then went on to analyze sample texts (please see course book for these).
Next class: students will continue to analyze descriptive sample texts and eventually get into groups to analyze further sample texts to present analyses to the class.
