Expository Writing - Oral Exam Preparation
2 Maio 2018, 10:00 • Hilda Alexandra Prazeres Eusebio
Students were put into their groups (according to the novel that they have chosen) and were taught how to mind-map topics/themes for their upcoming presentations. These mind-maps (completed on A3 paper) will be kept by the teacher but all students were instructed to take photos of their mind-maps.
Students were then taught how to mind-map questions/theses for their upcoming oral essays.
Most of the students have managed to come up with a sufficiently good essay question/thesis for their upcoming oral essays (the upcoming oral presentations).
Next class:
Students will ensure that their questions/theses are perfect and will then begin to write out and organize their points/arguments. These should be shown to the teacher before the end of class to ensure that these are going along the right track.
Also, the teacher will be modelling an oral essay presentation so that students will have some idea of how to do it when their time comes.
