A clip of an interview with one of the main characters of Fish Tank, Michael Fassbender, was shown at the beginning of the lesson in which the actor discusses the development of his character in the film.

Students were asked to write an introductory paragraph, in pairs or small groups, based on one of the quotations from the list given to the class in the last lesson.

Aspects to include in an introduction of this nature were discussed, and the rest of the composition was set as a piece of homework.
