Discussion of students impressions of the set novel The Hopeless Life of Charlie Summers and of the oral presentations they will make on the novel.

Also discussion of longer oral presentation - format and content. Student selected the dates and groups for their presentations.

Asked students to read the newspaper review of Paul Theroux's book Deep South,  "Why is Trump so popular? Visiting the south gave one writer some clues?" on pages 51-54 of course manual.
