Workshop 1: introduction to the course

What the course is about. Introduction to the course and to some organizational aspects concerning its normal processing and development. Presentation and characterization of the following items: “Syllabus; “Course Schedule and Content”, “Assessment Criteria” and “e-learning page”. The documents "Syllabus", "Course schedule and Content" and "Assessment” are available on the e-learning page of the course.

The assessment criteria, as described in the document “Assessment”, are as follow: 1. Attendance: 5 %. 2. Participation: 10 %; 3. Mid-semester test: 30 %
4. expositive text (A4 page) with the contents of one of the topics for the lectures – 25 %; 5. final essay (group work: 3 people) or final test – 30 %.
