Class on the practical difficulties of translating non-correlating systems from one language to another. Translating of the term "Grammar School" from English into a system (such as Portugal) where secondary education is not streamed. Translation of British qualifications by examination system into one (such as Portugal, or even the USA) which is based on a grading system. 

Problems such as translation "A Level in German" into a Portuguese system, and the different approaches to be adopted when we are translating this term in the context of a novel, in dialogue, where it may not even be important, in a novel, as information, where we must find something in Portuguese which provides the same information (or similar) and on a job application or application to a University, where this information is fundamental.
