An introduction was made to the text by Susan Sontag (1972) "The Double Standard of Aging". The following themes were discussed:

- Simone de Beauvoir and her Second Sex: the secondary role women have played in relation to men
 - Virginia Woolf and "A Room of One's own"
- The social changes of the 1970's
The students must proceed with the reading of "The Double Standard of Aging". Virginia Woolf's "A Room of One's Own" (chapter I) should also be read:
