1. King Sejong and Hangeul
- Hangeul was invented 1443, and it was distributed in 1446.
- The birth of Hangul is recorded in the Sejong Chronicles.
- UNESCO enacted the King Sejong Literacy prize in 1989.

2. The Principle behind the making of Hangeul
- The consonants were created based on the shapes of human vocal organs. ‘ㄱ, ㄴ, ㅁ, ㅅ, ㅇ’
- The vowels, the basic characters ‘∙, ㅡ, ㅣ’, were created based on the shapes of ‘sky(천 天), earth(지, 地), and human(인, 人).
- four principles :(1. The basic letters were made based on the shapes of vocal organs or from ‘sky(천 天), earth(지, 地), and human(인, 人)’, 2. Strokes are added to these basic letters to create other characters. 3. Other characters are formed by combining these letters. 4. It was made so that consonants and vowels were formed by playing characters side by side.)
