Introduction to Post-Structuralism and Deconstruction: general features of the movement and comparison with Structuralism.
The students were asked to carefully read the general presentation of Post-Structuralism given by Peter Barry in his
Beginning Theory.
Eagleton's introduction to the same theory, which offers a more detailed analysis, has also been provided to the students as a strongly recommended, although optional, reading.
The students have been asked to write down a brief résumé (200-300 words) of Post-Structuralism. This task will count as mid-term test 2.
