Today, we identified some of the themes in Guy Garcia's short story "Frazer Avenue".  The themes we identified were:

  • belonging
  • home
  • self-discovery
Next class: students will choose their themes to develop their thesis statements.  They must get into pairs to do this as they will (mostly) be doing their oral presentations in pairs.
