Analysis of text about TV in the UK and the USA and how it is beginning to be of appeal mainly to a certain age group given the fact that so many people watch catch up, use internet streaming or simply do not watch TV. This explains a) the predominance of TV for the "grey" population (Strictly Come Dancing) and b) the rise of the "celebrity", "reality" and "structured reality" shows such as Made in Chelsea, The Only Way is Essex, "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here", "The Voice" and (in the UK) "Gogglebox".
