Students reflect on the short story by Chimamanda Adichie "My Heart is where my home was". We discuss the topics of cultural appropriation, home and homeland, identity as different in different places, a world without stereotypes and cliches. The class was given via Zoom platform. Essay on the “Imaginary Homelands” ( here goes the prompt from 2 weeks ago:

Having certainly reflected on the concepts of dealing with broken mirrors or cultural displacement et al. in Rushdie's Imaginary Homelands, I would like you to go back to the text and find the theses the author presents there. Look for topics of belonging, home, travel, imagination and memory.The assignment should be between 300 and 600 words

Final written assignment given on the 5th of May at 9 am tone delivered until 22:00.
600-800 words, Word Times New Roman 12; 1,5 space

Oral presentation to be sent via We Transfer according to the date chosen at the beginning of the semester.
