Today, TP1 learned about the 20 persuasive writing techniques.  Students who missed today's class should go through the Persuasive Writing Techniques PowerPoint which is available on the shared Google drive.  We then listened to Winston Churchill's famous speech We Shall Fight on the Beaches.


Next class: we will listen to this audio again and identify the following:
  1. What it was that he was trying to get his listeners to do;
  2.  Which persuasive techniques he used in order to get them to do it.
If we have time, we will also listen to one of Barack Obama's NDC speeches.
