Assessment and Grading System:
In-class essay: 15%
Test: 30%
Research project on one of the Semester's themes: 20%
Reading project: 20%
Attendance, course work and participation: 15%

Important Dates: 
In-class essay: 4 March
Test: 18 April
Indicate who you are working with for the reading project: 11 March
Research project proposal (see guidelines in the Course Book): 28 March
Oral Presentations of reading project: end of March, beginning of April
Oral Presentations of research project: end of April, beginning of May

Presentation of course content and assessment criteria

Presentation of course content and calendar with particular emphasis on methodology, expected learning outcomes for this level and evaluation methods.

Presentation of the resources and materials in Moodle

Assessment will be continuous. Students are expected to attend all classes and to complete readings   (and other assignments) prior to the class for which they have been scheduled. Students will also be required to perform a variety of in-class activities (both written and oral) and prepare a longer assignment to be presented orally. 

The assessment criteria are as follows:  

One in-class written assignment:  15% (24 February)

Research project on one of the themes of the programme: 30% 

Written Test: 30% (19 April)

Attendance, course work and participation: 25%
