Students did a legal translation paying particular attention to lexis and register, while also having to  state some of the striking features in the ST.

They had to translate the contract into Portuguese for a law firm keeping in mind that their objective was to convey as clearly as possible any of the concepts in question, so that they are both accurate and understandable to the target readership, which may be specialized, lay or both. They also had to be sure that the language adopted is in current use.
