1. The problems posed by audience fragmentation to the definition of mass media.
1.1. Is audience fragmentation leading to the end of proper mass communication?
1.2. Production, and not audience, as a valid criterium to characterize and define mass media.
1.3. The industrial nature of mass media once again.
2. A concise review of the last three lessons (i.e., the first subjects concerning topic 2 of the syllabus).
3. Discussion: Do the new media correlate with democracy? Can we say that they represent a step further in the so-called democratization of societies? What are its mains pros and cons?
