Information on the Final Exam:

The Final Exam for Theatre and Literature is on Wednesday 12th January, between 15:30-17:00 in Room C248.A.

For the final exam (90 minutes, like the lessons), you’ll have to write two texts.

For the first, you’ll be asked to look at a short section from one of our 5 extracts in the course book and say how you would stage it. You’ll be expected to go into considerable detail and explain how, for example, you would have the actors say their lines, what kind of lighting there would be etc. etc.

You’ll be expected to write between 250 and 350 words.

For the second, you’ll be given the beginning of a dialogue between two characters from The Family and asked to continue it in, again, between 250 and 350 words.

You can answer in either English or Portuguese.

Each text will be worth 50% of the final mark.

You must bring our coursebook (it can be on your phone) and you can also use online dictionaries.

If you have any doubts, please ask.
