Discussion of three newspaper articles related to Front Page shocking images continued: (a) "Photo Editors' Notebook: What makes the image of Omran Daqneesh extraordinary?" (TEXT 3); (b) "Facebook back tracks to allow iconic Vietnam War photo of child napalm victims" (TEXT 4) - students' oral reports and comments on their assigned text. Checking the answers to the vocabulary-expansion exercise based on words and expressions from READING MATTERS TEXTS 1 to 4. 

REMINDER: Be prepared to speak about your chosen image tomorrow and say why it sparks something in you.
 HOMEWORK: writing a response paper (instructions sent by email) - assignment due on 18th February.

(a) "Are newspapers correct to use such shocking images on their front pages?" (TEXT 2); 

(b) "Photo Editors' Notebook: What makes the image of Omran Daqneesh extraordinary?" (TEXT 3), (to be continued tomorrow). TEXT 4 will be addressed tomorrow as well.

2) Preparing the discussion of three newspaper articles related to Front Page shocking images: (a) "Are newspapers correct to use such shocking images on their front pages?" (TEXT 2); (b) "Photo Editors' Notebook: What makes the image of Omran Daqneesh extraordinary?" (TEXT 3); (c) "Facebook back tracks to allow iconic Vietnam War photo of child napalm victims" (TEXT 4) - an email was sent to all students with instructions for this assignment.
