Today we started working on correcting common writing mistakes, such as run-on sentences and comma splices, using the worksheet in the Week 4 folder (we will continue working on this next week). Students also wrote a review of a book, film, album/song, or video game in class.

Homework (for Tuesday, March 17): Please do Exercises 1 and 2 on p. 10 of the course pack.

In groups of 3, students collaborated to plan an essay comparing two things of their choice.

Homework: Write – individually – the comparative essay planned in your small group. Read the remaining 2 PG Wodehouse stories.

Debate: Should we modernize classics?
