Today we finished our discussion of sci-fi tropes and started watching Stella Young’s TED Talk, “I’m not your inspiration, thank you very much” (course pack, pp. 12–13).

Homework (for Tuesday, March 24): Write a very short story, modeled on Fredric Brown’s “Sentry,” told through the eyes of an unusual, unexpected narrator (an animal, an object, etc.).
