Building on the activities from the previous classes, students were shown two images, used in advertising, and asked to work in their groups to decide on a slogan that would mean the same in both English and Portuguese. The aim was to connect the image with a brand and transmit the same concept through both languages

Students were shown a power point slide presentation containing brand names and slogans.
They worked in groups to research the underlying concept behind the images and text and then attempted to translate the slogans, taking the cultural references into consideration.
