In today's class we talked about media research under the approach of political economy, whose theorists focused, not so much on the interests of political groups or parties, but more on the relationship between economy and the creation of cultural products (according to these studies, the great economic groups are taken to treat audiences as consumers rather than citizens).

In this class we kept discussing some studies which are focused on the producers of media content (not so much on the content itself or on the audiences).More specifically, we introduced the so-called Critical approaches, and described in particular the Frankfurt School’s critical theory.
