a) Observação de dados: algumas generalizações sobre a distribuição de infinitivos raiz;

b)  As principais análises disponíveis para o fenómeno do infinitivo raiz: modal nulo, Tense Omission Model, Truncamento);

c) A discussão sobre maturação (a propósito da hipótese de truncamento);d) Infinitivos raiz em casos de aquisição atípica (SLI).

 

2. Sujeitos nulos:

a) Observações descritivas: produção de sujeitos nulos nos primeiros estádios de aquisição de línguas que não permitem sujeito nulo; relação entre distribuição de infinitivos raiz e de sujeitos nulos nos primeiros estádios de aquisição;

b) Uma hipótese clássica: a noção de fixação de parâmetro como resposta ao problema do desenvolvimento (hipótese clássica sobre sujeitos nulos na aquisição - Hyams, 1986);

c) Abordagens gramaticais vs. abordagens de processamento ao problema do sujeito nulo: parâmetro do sujeito nulo (Hyams, 1986), truncamento (Rizzi 1993/1994) (abordagens gramaticais), limitação ao número de palavras por enunciado (Bloom, 1990) (abordagem de processamento), "Root Subject Drop" (Rizzi, 2000, 2005) (abordagem mista);

d) Uma experiência recente que favorece uma explicação gramatical para o fenómeno dos sujeitos nulos nos primeiros estádios de aquisição (Orfitelli & Hyams, 2012).

Aspetos da estrutura sintática observável nas primeiras combinações de palavras: direcionalidade e ordem de palavras, movimento do verbo (exemplos de fixação precoce de parâmetros). Observação de dados do inglês, francês, alemão e português, que incluem evidência já reconhecida como clássica para movimento do verbo.

O problema da aquisição da linguagem no quadro da gramática generativa

1. Apresentação dos objetivos do seminário:

A presente unidade curricular pretende conduzir o aluno a: (1) construir conhecimento sobre temas centrais na investigação em aquisição de uma língua materna; (2) comparar a aquisição de algumas estruturas linguísticas no português e em outras línguas; (3) refletir sobre metodologias de recolha e tratamento de dados no domínio da aquisição de língua materna; (4) refletir sobre o modo como dados empíricos da aquisição podem contribuir para a discussão de problemas teóricos na análise linguística. Sempre que relevante, serão feitas pontes com a aquisição de língua não materna e bilingue, com percursos atípicos de desenvolvimento linguístico (relações com a Linguística Clínica) e com o processo de literacia na infância (relações com a Linguística Educacional).
