Sts watched a short video on Martin Luther, then completed a quiz. They were also assigned Martin Luther’s Open Letter on Translation for reading. Today they took a reading comprehension quiz based on the text.

Word for Word, Sense for Sense Translation and Adaptation

The lecturer gave a presentation on word-for-word translationsense-for-sense translation, and adaptation. Afterwards, Sts completed a quiz via Google Forms. They were then divided into three groups and asked to collaborate on an interactive Google Slides activity. Each group was assigned one of the three translation strategies and tasked with providing the following: A definition of the approach / When it should be used / When it should be avoided / Its advantages and / disadvantages.
