Metafiction

Groups created metafictional prompts.

Write a metafictional flash fiction story (about 250-300 words — but can be more if you want —, to be voted next class), based on one of the following prompts (created by your colleagues):

Students 2024-25 S2

Group A)

Prompt 1: Your character is a fiction screenwriter of dark humour. Every joke they write eventually happens to them as punishment.

Prompt 2: Rewrite Titanic but in a plane. The two main characters are reincarnations of the real Jack and Rose from the original boat and they are aware that the plane will crash because they have been through the same. No one else, of course, knows.

Group B)

Prompt 1: you find a page describing your day and it ends saying "you're going to get a job at (specific work place)" and you start to try control your fate and not get the job because you get freaked out at how accurately the page is written, but no matter how hard you try your fate seems sealed.
