Presentations were given on the positive power of gaming (Tedtalk) and the Rolling Stones song "Sympathy for the Devil." Students discussed how gaming can be used for good and examined the song's lyrics and meaning respectively.

Students presented on the cultural artifacts of a current event and a song. The current event artifact had to do with an accident caused using snapchat and driving and we discussed the story and similar events that have happened in Portugal and the danger of always being connected to smart phones. The song artifact was on Tracy Chapman's fast car and talked about the songs lyrics and it's message of trying to escape poverty.

Students were given some final tips for CV and résumé completion and asked to think of a field or specific job they would like and to tailor their CV/résumé for this job in English using the information and resources from our previous class.

Students were lecture on the differences between a CV and a résumé and shown how to make them using different formats, online resources, and specific English language action verbs.

Students further examined the Twain's "Story of the Good Little Boy" and "Story of the Bad Little Boy" and discussed Twain's satirical attacks on "common literature." Students were given an article to read on Disney fillms' portrayals of reality and most notably love. Students discussed whether or not the works of Disney would be considered common literature and whether an artist should assume responsibility for the consequences of their work.
