Today we analyzed a sample question (verb conjugations) like the one that will be on the midterm test.

Students subsequently realized that they need to learn WHEN certain tenses are used, i.e. in what CONTEXTS should one use any given verb tense.

Today we learned about:

  • present simple
  • present continuous
  • present perfect
  • present perfect continuous
  • past simple
  • past continuous

Next class, we will be looking at:

  • the past perfect
  • the past perfect continuous
  • the future simple
  • the future continuous
  • the future perfect
  • the perfect continuous

All verb tense ppts have been emailed to all students.  These are from www.englishpage.com and they are AWESOME.
