Students completed their presentations on Plath's diary entries and Anne Michaels' poems.
Following this, we read Alice Walker's The Flowers as an introduction to narrative techniques in short story writing.
Next class: we will look in depth at the basics of narrative writing and go on to analyze Joyce Carol Oates' short story Small Avalanches.

Students were handed back the corrected versions of their character analysis task carried out in class.
In- class assignment - students wrote a film review of Angela's Ashes based on a quotation of one of the reviewers (list of reviewers' quotations handed out in previous class)
