Tests and discursive essay returned and commented upon. The use of commas. Word division at the end of lines. Summing up main ideas in Unit 2: discussing similarities between the film Invictus and the literary and non.literary texts addressed in Unit 2. REMINDER: discussion of the short story "Good advice is rarer than rubies" by Salman Rushdie was postponed to Wednesday's class. HOMEWORK: Please read the texts "India's caste system is alive and kicking..." (pages 93-95) and "Child marriage in India finally meets its match..." (pages 96-97) at home and look up unknown references so that we can discuss both texts on Wednesday 29th November.
