Descriptive Writing - Campo Grande Exercise

Today, TP4 went to Campo Grande to carry out a descriptive writing exercise.


Their goal: to sit in an isolated location within the park, connect with an inner mood or feeling and try to convey the mood/feeling through sensorial description of their surroundings (i.e. sight, sound, taste, smell, touch).

This work (or a second or third draft of this piece) can be one of the optional homework assignments.

Homework: Read the magazine article in which Emmett Till’s killers confess. For Friday next week, read the short stories “Where is the voice coming from?” and “Liars Don’t Qualify”.
